Google Earth: Now With Water
The latest version of Google Earth has been released today, and it's a truly remarkable accomplishment. Now, you can post films of your travels around the world, keyed to points on the globe. You can tour the surface of Mars in 3-D, as well as examine important NASA landing sites. And perhaps more astonishingly, you can dive below the surface of the Earth's oceans, skimming along a 3-D map of the ocean floor and watching footage of Jacques Cousteau exploring parts of the sea. We'll have more to say about this in the future, but for now, here's a short Google film explaining the new features:
