Mission Blog Roll: Accomplished
Folks, I’m long overdue for an update. Things have been busy around the LOLEconz ranch, as they always are. Basically, I’ve got big things in the bake, but I’m not ready to share what they are quite yet. I did, though, have a meeting with a book publisher today. Everything’s far from a done deal, obviously, but LOLEconz may be coming to a coffee table near you sometime soon. More details to come.

Yahoo Blues
Folks, I'm beside myself with sorrow at the Yahoo layoff news. Look, I get why they had to go. The stock is awful. The former leadership was awful. The market share is awful. It's an awful situation that we all saw coming. But some of my former Pets.com colleagues work there, and without naming names, I'm worried what they're going to do after this.

Paul Krugman, Pay Attention to Me!
Today, a Big Money colleague pointed me toward the blog of none other than Mr. Nobel—Paul Krugman. Krugman is a hero of mine, obvs, and I had to be the happiest econ-minded LOLCat creator in the world when he won the Nobel Prize for economics. So today, when I surfed over to his blog, I discovered that Krugman, like yours truly, is a connoisseur of all things LOLCats.

Side note: Sorry for the late post this morning, meetings had me out of the office.
Roll Me
When somebody starts a new website, it’s sort of like shining a beacon of light in the midst of a very thick and dark forest. You know the light is on, but you don’t know if anybody can actually see it. Folks, your emails have let me know that you can see the light, and I dare say that you’ve lit up my life as a result.

Clawing at the Dow
When I was first told my dad about my LOLEconz idea, he scoffed. “What do cats have to do with the economy?” I scoffed right back. “Plenty.”
Case in point: Cats are to laser pointers, as humans are to the Dow Jones. (Or, in SAT-speak: Cats : Pointers :: Humans : Dow Jones)

Out of the Boxee
Sorry about the lack of posting yesterday—lots of excitement around here for launch! And now that we’re live, I’m already exploring exciting new distribution opportunities. See, as unique as LOLEconz is, it’s really not that different from any other website these days. It’s all about DISTRIBUTED CONTENT. It’s a mantra I chant over and over to myself as I settle into bed.
