Out of the Boxee
Out of the Boxee
Sorry about the lack of posting yesterday—lots of excitement around here for launch! And now that we’re live, I’m already exploring exciting new distribution opportunities. See, as unique as LOLEconz is, it’s really not that different from any other website these days. It’s all about DISTRIBUTED CONTENT. It’s a mantra I chant over and over to myself as I settle into bed. I play some Enya, light some candles, and sit in the dark with my eyes open, repeating “Distributed Content” to the tune of “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” DIS-TRIBU-TED CON-TENT, DIS-TRIBU-TED CON-TENT…It’s very calming for the soul. If you try it, let me know!
But my bedtime rituals are not what we’re here to discuss. No, we’re here to talk about Boxee, a great little product that I want LOLEconz to be part of. Boxee is a program you can download to your computer or Apple TV to stream thousands of videos from Hulu, CBS, YouTube, etc. It’s the future of the way we watch TV on our computers. Rather than go to individual sites, why not have a central hub where we can browse it all, just like our Tivo’s TV guide function.
But why limit it at streaming video? Why not pull slideshows off the web. And why not make those slideshows full of LOLEconz? It’s a common sense move to me, and I’ll be approaching Boxee about it. I wanted to tell all of you guys since transparency is one of LOLEconz’ founding principles. (Stay tuned to see what the others might be.)
OK. That’s enough for now. A new LOLEconz pic is coming up in a few hours. And for all of our new visitors from Slate, be sure to click on the logo at the top of the page to see all of the ones I already made.
